Juanita Tetteh

Juanita Tetteh was born in Detroit, Michigan.  She accepted Jesus as her Lord and Savior in 1980.  She is married to George Tetteh and they have three children: Celina, Cyrus, and Chandra and two grandchildren Morgan, and Paige.

For over twenty years, she has been a member of Grace Community Church of Detroit under the leadership of Pastor William A. Harris.  Juanita has served as chairperson of Grace’s Annual Tea, Women’s Day and Retreat and currently the Treasurer of the Women’s Department.

At Grace, she organizes Project Angel Tree (A program that allows people to donate gifts to children of prisoners).  Also, she currently assists her First Lady and serves in hospitality ministry.

Juanita has earned a certificate of completion for Leadership Training in a local church at Grace Theological Seminary.  She received training in partnership policy change at the Detroit Community Academic Urban Research Center.  She is a 2010 graduate of the Geraldine Marvell Miller Wright Institute for Women in the Ministry where Evangelist Elaine P. Wright serves as Director.

Juanita is employed with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan.  Also, she is currently serving a vice president of Hally Magnet Middle School’s Local School Community Organization (LSCO) in Detroit.

Her new favorite scripture is Psalms 51:17:  "The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit; A broken and a contrite heart, O God, Thou wilt not despise".  Juanita’s passion is encouraging hurting people.
